Kirk and Spock are totally Frog and Toad--why have I never realized this before?
Also, Goodnight Dune = hahahah *falls out of chair*
Unrelated, but I'm trying to compile a list of (good) SF mysteries. I'm finding that I own/have read a lot of mysteries (mostly historical), and a lot of sci-fi, but I can't think of anything that covers both. Do you have any suggestions?
Hmm. I remember thinking that Zahn's The Icarus Hunt was just that when I read it, but it was at least five years ago and I haven't read it since; my memory may be deceiving me. Inyri (hm_yrie) might remember better, or Carr. But now that you mention it, I can't think of any others either. I'll think about it and let you know if anything comes to mind.
That was the only one that come to mind for me as well--I know I have The Icarus Hunt in my box o' mass market paperbacks, and I think it was a sci-fi mystery, but my memory gets fuzzy.
I posted in copperbadge's book rec party, but like the party guest who stumbles in after midnight when all the food is gone, I was a little late. :p
I'll definitely ask Inyri or Carr, though. (Also, I got a bunch of the Vorkosigan Saga books by Lois McMaster Bujold in ebook format--I've heard that the later books are more detective-like than sweeping space opera, which sounds intriguing.)
