So io9 posted an article about the 30 most disturbing Twilight products, and, um, the crazy I posted about earlier? It's real. Not mass-produced, evidently, but still real. It is disheartening to see so many of our gender hypnotized by this badly-written, terrible-message-laden crap. I think the scariest thing is that it's not just the young kids who could be excused for not having the best judgment. It's the Twimoms who terrify me. Women my mother's age who say they'd leave their husbands for Edward in a heartbeat - really? Really? Must be great to be your husband, lady.

That's even scarier. That it's real merchandise.

I'm happily ignoring all the New Moon stuff and relishing when my friend's facebook statuses will be free of all the "yay new moon" stuff. I'm resisting the urge to post disparagingly on all of them.
