- I bought a sewing machine. I don't have it yet; it's on back order. But I am going to learn how to sew. If I can learn to make pretty things with two sticks and a piece of string, I can figure out a sewing machine

It's been a few years since I've even glanced at it, but I remember having mixed feelings about TaB. I think the only thing I actually liked about it was Anakin showing up as a Force ghost in front of Leia, and then Leia dealing with it throughout the book, especially when they're in the middle of a battle and she says something like "are you watching this, Father?" It wasn't perfect interaction by any means, but that's really the only thing about that book that stuck out in my mind. I remember last time I looked through it, those were the only parts I read. I'm pretty much indifferent when it comes to the rest of the book.
I asked her. :p She has several requests in front of me, but she liked the vig, has ideas for it, and said if I don't mind waiting, I'm on the list. Which I so don't mind. :D
I did. But I only read it once, right after it came out. It'll be interesting to see what I think of it now.
It shall be yay sewing eventually. I will learn to make beautiful things. I am very determined.
Gah, so jealous you get FF cover art. If I ever get my Luke and Allana (now AU) story fixed up and accepted into the archive, I'm going to see if I can bribe her to do a drawing for that so I can turn it into a cover. If you want the picture colored, let me know. I love playing with Deb's work.
And yay for some more snark for EU. It's been a long time since I read Truce. It was the first Star Wars book I bought and read, so I liked it. Wonder what I'd think of it now.
I know! I am so excited about that. And thank you for the offer! I haven't decided about color yet - a lot will depend on the finished product, I think, and her sketches are so beautiful even without color. But I really appreciate having someone to go to if I decide to go the color route. :D
It was the fourth SW book I read, after TTT. I hated it. But I can't deny that that might have been because of Gaeriel. I was a big L/Mer from the beginning, and did not like going from Mara to this long-past crush of Luke's. :p I'll be interested to see what I think of it now. It'll be interesting to see what I think of most of Bantam, once I get this going. There's a lot I haven't read in years, or even at all.
My mom used to sew a lot - she made many of her own clothes when she was a teenager and newly married, and made quite a few for my sister and me when we were little, too. Which will come in handy when I'm trying to figure all this out. :p
I hated it, but like I said above, I was both young and biased. I'm curious as to what I'll think of it now.
