Yeah, I know the feeling.

Some years back, my Mom had open-heart surgery. The waiting room attendant told me the doctor was ready to talk to me and sent me to a small room. This tall blond kid came in, I thought he was an orderly come to take me to the doctor. He said, Hi, I'm Dr Something, your Mom's surgeon.

He didn't look old enough to be out of high school, much less med school....

Ain't it the truth...

Time marches on. I however, don't march, I hobble.

P.S. I've got a spare Walker I can lend you.

You know, this would be funny except...

There was this nurse I worked with. Betty. She was AMAZING. She had this spirit, this compassion...

As her hips started to give after 50 years of patient care, she'd grab a walker out out of the PT locker near the end of the day to help her get from room to room.

And then she would stride in with all of her 4 foot 10 inch Japanese dignity and give the best nursing care on the planet.

And take her borrowed walker to the next room. Finally management stepped down and made her retire.
