I have a clock radio in my bathroom that I hit "sleep" on after I turn on the lights, so I have the radio to listen to while I shower. If you can put it right next to the switch, might be easier to get in the habit of starting the radio when you go to the bathroom to shower. The "sleep" function turns off after an hour, so I don't have to worry about turning it off.

Well, I imagine that for some people antidepressants have a placebo effect and for others they truly help. I was on some for quite a while and definitely needed them at the time. I think that people are quick to prescribe antidepressants for people who are going through times that would make anyone depressed, which is sort of weird since they're supposed to address biological needs (I think that's when the placebo effect occurs... a person's body is doing what it's supposed to do, but the situation is such that they are going to feel depressed unless they think they're not supposed to feel depressed b/c they're taking this med now...) Does that make ANY sense at all ( ... )

It DOES make sense. I didn't know they had weekly doses of Prozac. Interesting.

I do think doctors are quick to prescribe drugs of all kinds.

Side note: my neighbors have three cockatiels - Prozac, Paxil and Zoloft

I am a firm believer that anti-depressants do NOT work. I've taken almost all of them at one time or another, too. They were a waste of money and time. Half of them made me MORE depressed and suicidal, which I was not prior to taking them. And all of them made me feel foggy and unfocused, zombie-like. And they ALL made me gain weight.

Since I stopped taking them years ago, i've been happier than ever.
