Did you see that the first episode of Korra leaked? I did watch it but I am sure as hell turning in for its premiere as well. It was... GORGEOUS! And Korra had some cool similarities to Aang while being a completely new character. And Capital City!? Really, really, really neat. I hope bounty hunters show up in an episode because they are so perfect in that environment. <3 <3 <3
I did, but I haven't watched it! The premiere's going to be the first two episodes, so I wanna wait and watch them together. IT'S KILLING ME! But it'll be worth the wait! :D From the stuff I saw in the trailers, I feel like I'm really gonna love Korra! She just seems so awesome.
From the reactions I've seen on tumblr however (while stealthily avoiding major spoilers!!), I'm definitely going to stay away from the fandom this time round. I am disappoint! :(
I wish it was ship-warring instead! XD As far as shipping goes, I believe everyone and their dog is shipping Korra and Mako. I'm pretty sure it'll go that way anyway, Bolin and Korra seem more like they'd be bros.
It was mostly people criticising Korra for not being perfect, complaining about her voice actress and some ridiculous stuff about her being the "white saviour" in the context of the story. It's only been one episode, and it's the beginning of her journey. I was just really surprised that people were so quick to judge, especially Avatar fans. Zuko was probably one of the best written characters in the last 10 years of animation, it took 3 seasons to develop him properly. I dunno, I feel like a lot of it was just "I miss the old characters" and "ew, she's a girl and she doesn't look like a girl" so they just nitpicked at everything. I'll wait til I see the ep to get their comments in the full context, but yeah, I am disappoint.
