1) Why does the ET guy have to say "Captain America" so obnoxiously?

2) Didn't you know that by moving the Akira movie to New Manhattan, you have to whitewash the cast? The only people in this city are the white folks, duuuuuuuuh! /sarcasm

1) XD I bet they're trying to appeal to certain people to go see it.

2) See, I knew they'd whitewash. I knew they would. But I still feel all AAAAAAAHHH! about it. :( It's also the implication of America is white by default.

Akira as a Live Action? No longer teenagers? Wait- wasn't the setting in--- Nevermind. Hum... I forsee a hella lotta more editing and cuts. This is starting to sound a lot like the Dragon Ball live action...

It's gonna be very bad. XD They apparently spent a 7-figure amount on getting the rights, so they need it to make as much money as possible, which means it's going to have to be PG-13. It looks like Kaneda (or whatever name they decide on later) is going to be much older than Tetsuo too.

The animated film still looks amazing, considering it was made over 20 years ago, so if you're not going to do it right from the start, then there's really no point. Manhattan's got a very diverse population too, so I don't see why the whole cast has gotta be white. :(

Oh for the love of-- How much older do you think? I mean, I know there's around a 10 year difference between some of those actors but... Geez.

Yeah, it always surprises me to see it and realize it's date, but then again some of my favourite animated films are from way back then.

...oh? You didn't know? Apparently the whole world is white. 8|| The other races are just, yanno, figments of our imagination.

I'm not sure, I was going off their casting for the roles. XD Andrew Garfield is 26 but looks 18, so if they were looking at Joaquin Phoenix, I can only assume he's gonna be much older. :(

XD Haha, of course! Silly me!
