Tube Strike.....oy.

I doubt it's been in the news outside of the UK (lol, maybe not even outside England) but the London Underground system staff went on strike. Anyone who lives in a city that pretty much relies on the public transportation system to get around knows what a big hassle this would be. Unfortunately, unlike during the last tube strike, my workplace is ( Read more... )

That sucks, but opening the wrong doors? Hoy, what a disaster. Sometimes I lean against the opposite doors too! I would've fallen right out. I think it's funny how for us, we could travelling for hours just to get around London but in other countries, by travelling the same amount of time, they travel so far! You could probably even see them move on a map.

What makes it worse is that the Post Office is gonna strike too XD I'm already made at them for losing about 3 or 4 packages of mine! I'm particularly mad because they're all part of my cosplay/s and from other countries so it's a bit hard to get them back.

If it was rush hour, so many people would've fallen out! It was just an unnecessary long day of travel, lol.

That is ridiculous. I can't believe anyone going on strike this day and age when everybody is hurting. It's not like the money is hidden... well, at least not by the real people and governments. CEOs are another issue. It makes me think of the problems with my country and the damn car companies getting a bail out for being model failures of what a business should be. The unions refused to help in the least in the beginning, as if they thought it was a fantasy world that the Big 3 could fail. The sad part is that unions are a large part of the reasons of why the car companies have failed. When 2/3 of employee pay is on people who don't even work (aka pensions and those not working since there's nothing to do), something is very wrong.

It's really bad, cos they're not punishing their employers, they're punishing the general public!
