Well, I think Kishimoto had a lot of fun trolling with the fans this week. First in the cover SasuNaru. Then GaaNaru (kinda...). And saved Sakura, and finally some NaruHina... But all of the Narutos were clones, the real one is with Killerbee after all....
Adding Second Mizukage to the list of in-story shippers. :D I love how Gaara smiled at that. Aww, they're so cute looking out for each other. And Naruto being a dork.
The version I read had Gaara saying "I see" and I was like "Huh?" But then I saw the version where he says "Really?" and I was all "Hell yeah!" His knowing smirk in that panel is just...<3
My love for the Mizukage has further increased. Indeed you're right, No-Eyebrow-Sama, they're a nice couple... sorry, duo.
Considering that Gaara has smiled a grand total of three times in the manga (correct me if I'm wrong -Shukaku demeted grins excluded) you can tell he appreciated that observation.
Also, in the rest of the chapter, Naruto smashs everyone's opponents, even when I feel like it's not that needed (I believe that Sakura and Hinata would have reacted in time) but he's not charging right in the fight Gaara's in, cuz, of course, he trusts him not to really need help.
(re-reading this, I do feel sorry for Hinata and Sakura though)
Do you guys think that Gaara and clone!Naruto will still be around to fight together Muu's summon?
The Mizukage called Naruto and Gaara "いいコンビ", so... "a good combination"? Make of that what you will.

Indeed I don't think he was smiling when saying goodbye to Naruto at Suna's gates. Either because he had an attack of nerves or was concentrating too hard on getting the 'shaking hands' part right (hey, it's possible, I don't think he had much experience on that area).
It's nice that there was that piece of Naruto and Gaara goodness right at the beginning because I read the remaining of the chapter with a wince. I do get "Appease the Ship Part" but... yeah. Wish it was done some other way.
Rhaa, I know you're très probably right about the redundant part, but I'm a greedy fangirl who wants her doses of GaaNaru to last her, if only because she's not looking forward to the fifty something chapters of watching Sasuke's Lacy Sharingan eyes.
So if not Naruto and Gaara, who?
Maybe the clone will disappear since there's no white zetsu left, and real!Naruto might need the chakra. But I'm hoping he won't if only to have the nice blank zone to fanfic about shippy conversations he might have with Gaara. <3
Hehehe I loved this XD If they did for whatever reason fight Muu.... maybe Kishimoto would let us see a dual attack with Naruto and Gaara? ::wishful thinking:: :D
