Another excellent piece. I wondered about the tense change, but it worked quite well. Then the hook about "ratcheting up her compulsions". I imagined a hungry tiger, pacing.
I enjoyed your use of Dr. Wyatt to cover some interesting ground. The New England quip, "that's just the color we are" was priceless.
I'm not sure I can see Attila the Hahn letting her guard down enough to cry at the hospital, even if it does move the story along.
The writers have given us some great questions. Hahn told Sloan they'd probably hook up if she didn't work with him. So what we she thinking when she kissed Callie in the elevator? And how will this oh-so-controlled surgeon react to being kissed by a female resident right in front of the damn hospital?
reefer! i struggled to answer that last question of yours and can't wait to see how it's handled on the show. anywho, i did take a stab at in in the latest update.
re: crying. i'm pretty sure she would only ever do it in her office, with the door closed. and callie just doesn't knock. maybe a stretch?
re: Sloan and hooking up. You know, I heard an interview with Brooke Smith in which she said she and Shonda discussed making her straight because they didn't want to feed stereotypes about strong women being gay by default (not sure this is very clear reasoning myself), but I bet that they have her and Sloan that little exchange to establish her previous heterosexuality. BS worked it, but it still didn't really ring true to me.
Thanks for being open to comments, and for taking the time to respond. I've had a b*tch of a week & just got home from an install 7-1/2 hours away...you've given me something to look forward to in the morning!
I'm really pleased you posted more of this. I read the first part and was intrigued so I'm excitedly working my way through this now.
I love the scene with Dr Wyatt - I thought that was a great opener on the show for further exploration. Your interaction between the two is really great; how Wyatt won't let Hahn get away with anything and forces her to address those things she won't let herself think about. I love how you write her at the end - making decisions with absolute certainty. Just a lovely insight into her there.

“I’m supposed to kill him later" is the best line i've seen in ages - and dr. wyatt's perking up is a great reaction.
i like the bit too where callie doesn't know how much she can push - that would be so true, wouldn't it?
