The central air unit in this apartment doesn't cool the place below 80 degrees, breaks down every couple of weeks and costs $200/month to run- the landlord refuses to repair it...can't bear the thought of going through another summer like that ( Read more... )

In the short time you've known me, you may have noticed my sense of humor can be a little 'edgy'. But I'll have you know I'm not a racist. I will ask you to bust up credenzas and coffee tables and coat trees right alongside those chiffarobes. Wait and see.

I recommend the Darlington. The website for the company seems kind of down at the moment (http://www.lecraw.com/rent/), but basically it's big, old, sturdy building made up of little studio apartments. My rent is $635 for a 6 mo. lease, and that's on the higher side. Electricity/gas are included.

It's definitely NOT Decatur, though, and it's not the Ritz. The kitchens are tiny! It's working well for me right now.
