YES!!!! You almost had me there too...thinking "I" was Penny...clever clever...
This would be almost too perfect to end the series with, I don't think even the best of the writers could think up this gold. So here are our options...1) You become a writer for BBT. Or 2) We brainwash Chuck Lorre and fill his head with the stories of S/P fanfics, mainly this one. Then everybody's happy, ne?
IKR?? I had to go back and read the first paragraphs twice before I figured out this was daddy and mommy Sheldon/Penny. So kudos for that.
And yes, please somebody chain the writers to their chairs till they sign a legal waiver stating that THIS is going to be the final scene in the series.
LOL! I actually had a dream about this fic. S/P are sitting on a couch watching fondly at Marie arguing obsessively with her Sheldon 2.0, who was named Malcolm in said dream.

And second, yes, I just couldn't picture out how the series would end except this. I mean, even if they don't make Sheldon/Penny canon in the series, as long as this ending is in place, I'd be happy. It's just like Vegeta and Bulma of Dragonball Z (to those who know em hehe), wherein one minute, Bulma has a boyfriend, and Vegeta was just the new character, and all of sudden, BOOM! Vegeta and Bulma are together and HOW they got together were left to people's imagination, which was why they were the most famous dragonball Z couple of all time! Weee!
