Killing a Meme

Aug 07, 2007 23:13

Some dudes asked me to do this writing eight things about me thing. I don't think I have done a meme before but I'll give it a shot. How hard can it be. I am not going to pass it on though, I am the end of the line for this particular meme. Suckerzz

I recently cooked pasta for the first ever time. I put it in water and boiled it. I'm still pretty ( Read more... )

1. Did you salt the water when you cooked your pasta? That's how the professionals do it. Pete cooks pretty good pasta now, except when he leaves it in the pot too long and it goes all mushy.

2. Milo is my saving grace. Since Pete knocked me up and I've had to quit coffee, I've practically lived off Milo. I haven't tasted dodgey Chinese Milo though, so I can't comment on that. I'll check with my sis to see if there's anywhere you can get the "good stuff".

3. In our house, we know that underwear needs to be washed when Pete is wearing the red ones, cause it means he's worn all the ones he likes and in onto the "emergency" supply.

Yeah someone else told me about this salting the water thing - but apparently it's just so it doesn't stick together so much. This is not a big issue for me; I like it sticking together as this means it is easier to get a lot of food into your mouth in a short period of time.

My apologies I have not yet congratulated you on the upcoming bub, hope she's coming along good!

She can be a little annoying when she's restless at night and my belly is starting to get in the way, but apart from that, I think both us girls and dad are coping very well with everything.

I also do the Fists of Flame thing. I like to cup my hand and try to produce fireballs on my palm, too.

I recommend graduating from Milo to Green Tea. Coffee is, of course, mud, but green tea is quite pleasant once you become enamoured of its bitterness.

Also, please talk about urination, milk and bananas more.

Cheers it's good to know that even after like four(?) years of this toilets/bananas gig there are still people who don't mind reading more!

I mainly want to do the ones where my opponent actually goes in flames, in slow motion

I have made two different sauces now! One was a butternut pumpkin sauce (they call it squash here!) the other was a creamy mushroom type arrangement.

I would really like yellow undies but I'm not sure where I can get them!

Maybe there are single ladies in England, but they're definitely not in Oxford! Oh well, I'll track one down eventually.

That's because I'm not there anymore. All the hot left when I did, until you arrived that is!

I totally understand the underwear thing, though I have never just worn one colour. I reserve frills and bows and uncomfortable fabrics for potential sexual encounters. The rest of the time it is cotton briefs purchased in a five pack, with or without polka dots.

I forgot to check the size of the most recent underwear I purchased and wound up giving them to Bridget as a present.

P.S. How is the UK going???

The U.K. is O.K., thanks! I think if I had a choice I would like little stars on my underwear, as though I had got them for good performance. I get the feeling ladies' underwear is more complicated though.
