I think Paul's faking to get Meg back. He'll drag this out for awhile then start to "remember" things. But by that time, Meg will feel sorry for him and give him another chance. *eyeroll*

Of course, Paul will have Damian to contend with as he's interested in Meg, so that might be interesting. I still don't trust Damian and I think Meg would be better off without any of them.
