For real. They should win an award for how stupidly ridiculous and utterly unfulfilling this whole plot is. I can't even wrap my head around any of it. Argh.
It really frustrates me that after all the time we've spent getting invested in all the characters and all the love we've poured into our fandoms and friendships that this is how the show rewards us. Bah.
Agree about ILYs and sex--they need to have this if they're going to be apart forever at the end.
Seriously. Not having those things just makes it all the worse for us, in my opinion. If TPTB were going for the dramatic factor, then you would think they'd have those things in, because that would make it more tragic, not less. If L/R don't even get to a point where they say "I love you" or consummate, then really, one could assume that their relationship wasn't all that serious to begin with. And then it wouldn't really be so tragic
