You might want to rethink the whole going to the DMV:
Apparently, the DMV system is shut down... statewide.
Check channel 3 or channel 8, they were the two news trucks I saw there as I was arriving/leaving rather quickly. So if you were planning on going to DMV like I was, well.. you'll just have to put it off.
(April 20) -- The Department of Motor Vehicles is in the middle of a computer crisis. The computers are not working at any of the state's 21 DMV offices.
The computer system went down around 9:45 a.m. Kevin Malone with the DMV says it appears that the problem is associated with the link between the DMV offices and the mainframe system in Carson City.
The DMV is asking people who need to get a driver's license or a car registration to come back at a later time. The DMV is still able to handle some functions including written tests.
