How come so many religions founded in the late 19th/early 20th century seem to be inclined toward... cultiness. From what I've seen. (Baha'i seems nice, though.) AND SCIENTOLOGY DEFINITELY DOES NOT HELP THAT OPINION ANY WTF.

Scientology is crazy shit, man. I actually had a friend who was completely brainwashed by them back when I was in high school and it was scary. He had all sorts of chronic problems with his digestive system and he stopped all of his treatments because they told him to. And he got a job (even though he was clearly too disabled to work) just to pay them every cent he had. It was so awful. I hate Scientology. It takes advantage of people's weaknesses and can potentially destroy them.
