so my internet provider keeps raising their costs. this last time without telling me. anyone have any suggestions for cheap/reasonably fast internet service?

I am a big fan of cable modem. it tends to be faster and cheaper (esp in setup fees) than DSL. and yuo don't have to buy cable tv to make it work, though you can package the two for less.

if your neighborhood has FiOS available, then you can put your house phone and internet (and possibly TV) together in one package. FiOS is THE FASTEST residential internet ever. it's amazing. it does require a contract.

thanks! i will look into it. we dont have cable and aren't looking to get cable but i will check their prices
