Sometimes new toys are the least fun to play with

So last night I visited Grandma for a bit and put some rows onto the Warlock Sock.  Then I got home, had a quick dinner, and started fiddling with the new Android.

Thinking back on when I first got my LG (last phone, not this one) I had to download a bunch of stuff and it never really worked properly, but it was several phone generations ago now. The not registering as a USB is definitely weird - my current does no problem, including the first time. Hm.

Fuck the GOP. That's unbelievable horribleness. *rage coma*

I've had some sleep and a day or two to consider -- possibly the situation comes down to requiring a particular driver, maybe it's just that I was using a crappy USB cable and need to try it with a different one. If it's not thundering and lightning when I get home tonight, I may well try again on one or both of my computers.

Both parties are horrible with regards to legislating based on what business/people with deep pockets want of them, but the GOP has been especially nasty since so many Tea Party candidates came in with the last election.

I had a look at T-Mobile's website and they offer the HTC One and the Galaxy both -- but neither has a QWERTY keyboard, and that's a non-negotiable need. (Especially with the touchscreen reminding me why the Blackberry was such a step up from the PDA I had before it.) Once I get past the learning curve, I suspect I could be fairly happy with this phone -- if I can get my desktop communicating with it. That is a lovely screen, and the apps market looks delightful.
