Hey smart literary academic people! Anyone out there familiar enough with APA format (NOT MLA or Chicago Style) to help me figure out proper citation format

i'm not 100% sure about this, but you could probably do it this way:

"[We] see the most slavish test prep in inadequate schools, not the best schools" (p. 51).

brackets tend to work for most formats.

if you don't think that's right, and really need it, i have the APA style guide around here somewhere, and can actually go look it up.
