you go to settings and under display

Video Placeholders Replace videos embedded in journals with a placeholder icon

check replace videos

youtube videos will show up as icon and you have to click on them to display them but no autoplay ever in lj

/i think, one nonny posted about this and I don't remember any more but this is the only setting with video options. if lady r is around, she would know
