Oh, I am sitting here with a big stupid grin on my face. It's like I'm 8 years old all over again watching this show and wanting the crew for my adopted parents. Just - all you've done here! The sweet, sweet song, the crew as adoptive parents to the children they encounter on their missions, some of the crew as actual parents, their nieces and nephews, their own parents (grown-up children, oh, I just love it), de-aged Ro and Guinan, Picard's brother, Lal, OMG. It's just a perfect encapsulation of this nostalgia, this yearning, this sense of comfort and family. I love Star Trek for plenty of perverse reasons, but it's so nice to go back to this innocence and love. Thank you so much.

I love love love the layers of children and parents (or caregivers) and trust that you've built in there. Lovely.
