DUDE this made me miss Deadwood sooooo much. :’). I adore the perfect perfect perfect song choice (The Kills !!! aslkfdjaklfdjalksjfa) - it’s wonderfully evocative of the mood of the show, and I love the tone and the tension build throughout the vid - felt like I was weaving around the town myself, with every clip highlighting all the intricate relationships among these characters. Thank you so very much for this, festividder! Like direct hit to the feels and I absolutely need to rewatch the entire series immediately. :D :D :D

Thank you! I'm so delighted that you approve! I was originally planning the vid to showcase all of the fascinating women who pass through Deadwood (well, "pass through" or "pass away in"), but ran out of time before I got the second and third seasons all clipped and had to change direction a bit, so I'm very pleased to hear that it still works. I'm quite smug about the song choice, too; I feel like I could have done almost anything with the visuals and the music would make it compelling.

I loved this! Great song and the clips & editing captured the mood and dynamic of the show. I especially liked how it highlighted some of the characters who didn't get as much screen time. Very balanced and evocative. What a gem :-)

Thank you! I was originally planning to do a vid focusing on the women of Deadwood, but a) I ran out of time and could not include the second and third seasons (but! Aunt Lou! Martha! Miss Isringhausen! The ill-fated ladies of the Chez Amis! Joanie and Jane's touching awkward romance!), b) I love some of the dudes too (Doc! Dan! Al! Ellsworth, even though he isn't in the vid much anyway!), and c) they're all part of the community and part of each other's stories, in direct or indirect ways, so it's very hard to pick what to leave out.
