I recently picked this project back up again - came across it while cleaning up and thought, why did I put this down?

I just finished page 9, which is actually the seventh page I've done. You can see I've gotten a chunk of flower now, yay. Love working with the pinks.

I have a cross stitch thing I dearly want to make, but my problem is - I knit while watching tv and you can't really do that while cross stitching. Do you do anything while cross stitching? Audio books, chat with people? Or do you actually sit and cross stitch and not multi-task?

I actually do stitch while watching tv. Generally tv shows, fictional, rather than sports. I can't cross stitch while seriously watching tennis, but I do stitch sometimes to the commentary.

I could never cross stitch and not listen to something. I also have a number of podcasts I listen to - I highly recommend No Such Thing as a Fish, incidentally, a new podcast by the QI elves. When I go through periods of not being interested in tv or listening to podcasts, I stop stitching, because I can't stand to do it in silence.

There is also a certain knack to looking up between stitches, so I don't miss much.
