In which I attempt to convince myself that I can survive without cable TV

My lovely rinky-dink cable company that has been charging me the same rate for the past 5 years (and yeah sometimes the internet went out, and they don't have support for that on weekends and Comedy Central spent weeks at a time being frozen, but they were cheap! and there was no contract!) is no longer providing cable for my apartment building

well check the converter thing cuz it did not work at all in the basment and before it when i had a reg antena i could not get cw fox or pbs (but they sometimes worked upstairs upstairs) and eventuay i could not get abc either

and i will need better blank tapes if i need to tape bbc stuf for you cuz mine come out all jumpy (prob from mail damage when you sent them to me as spn eps)

but since the cablevision does not have bbc anyways it seems like all you would miss from being cableless is the gaint mutant sharktopus vs framiler candian actors

I guess it's a good thing I'm on the second floor.
If I can't get decent reception, I can always get the most basic of basic cables at $11 a month.
