Lovely, intense writing, especially in the disconnectedness of Sam after the accident and Dean waking in the hospital.

It would be really helpful if you either put a link to the earlier chapters or a summary of the story so far (or both!) because it's been a while and I don't recall the context.

Thanks so much for letting me know this was up.

Sam all of a sudden coming to the forefront was written really well with his confusion and the realization that he was still with Dean. The parallel between his death and Dean being in the same situation was so frightening for him. I could just hear his small voice saying he didn't want to die.

And now he has fled somewhere, but ultimately John has his plan in order and is ready to get on with it. Yay. I can't imagine what condition poor little Sam's body is going to be in.
