It's only a little scary--like I said, I've never heard of individual people being targeted for DDL, so if I stick with that there shouldn't be a problem. Honestly, the only thing I've heard individuals being targeted about is torrents for Game of Thrones in particular, so I'm not even too worried about other shows. But it is something of a wake-up call.

I saw your post via friends friends - there are VPN services you can use. The cost is around $5 month, you can turn them on and off. They offer a full suite - surfing and torrenting - or just torrenting.

I don't actually control the paying-for-important-stuff portion of the household, and I'm pretty sure my parents would not be big on me adding a complicated thing just for the purposes of pirating, so nah, but thanks. I think I'll stick with DDLs.
