Also how is it possible that I can fight the Sinnoh Champion before the Unova one, seriously.

My thoughts on the last two episodes of Doctor Who are not very deep, and really the biggest one of them is "how many two-parters about humanity making disastrously bad decisions in the name of business can one show even have", so I will just say that and also that it is pretty cool Rory is starting to come into his own a bit more. Yes, you can in ( Read more... )

Augh, that last episode of Doctor Who! Angry Rory! Making bad decisions Rory! And then the TRAILER. SO MANY FEELINGS.

I think Pokemon partly exists to frustrate people with things they can't have :/

I had not seen the trailer but I looked at your reaction post so while I still will not watch the trailer (as is my way), MUCH EXCITE. And much trepidation! Because it is very very very easy to do pregnancy plots The Wrong Way, especially in genre fiction, especially when it looks as if the woman did not really want the baby to begin with. :/ But I shall try to have faith in Moffat, who presumably wrote the next episode since it's a finale. (Note that Moffat episodes tend to be the best of his seasons.)

Pokemon: there is hope! I just remembered that one of my friends has a little brother who got a Celebi earlier this year (another event I couldn't get to asdfghjkl;) which just happens to be the event Pokemon needed to activate the in-game Zorua, so I will totes have her force him to temporarily trade with me so I can get it. And Zorua evolves into Zoroark, so I will have both of them! I still will never get any of the event legendaries from previous games, but whatevs, three is better than none.

Oh man, I hope I didn't spoil you unwittingly! I'm really sorry if I did. The next episode fills me with equal amounts of excitement and fear: while it looks like it's going to be pretty amazing, Moffat doesn't have the best track record with writing about women and issues surrounding it (see: River 'living for the Doctor', Amy being 'the legs', etc) so I'm just going to hope that the Good Things help distract from the Problematic Things.

Yay for you! I hope that it works out and you can get your Zoroark. :D

So, um, I haven't played any Pokemon games before, but this comic looked relevant to your ranting, and I was hoping you could explain a bit more what the deal with the Zoroark is.

I think it was a legendary Pokemon that showed up in like the third in the oh-what-number-are-they-on-now series of Pokemon movies, right?

Ahh, that comic shows what happens when you do unlock Zoroark--the woman it's pretending to be freaks out if you show her a shiny Raikou, Entei, or Suicune (which were event versions of legendaries from Gold/Silver/Crystal), and then it reveals itself as a Zoroark and attacks. That comic has it turning into an Entei, though (which was indeed in the third movie). I'm not entirely sure, but I think the gag is relating to how Raikou/Entei/Suicune always ran away whenever you saw them in the wild. So I don't blame you for being confused; it took me a few tries to understand that comic and I had all the background info. *g*
