:DDDDDDD Excellent! They are definitely, definitely worth a read, and yeah it took me a while to get around to them too--last summer I was in the bookstore with my mom and she suggested them but I got something else instead--so I'm familiar with the will I/won't I. Hope you get to a bookstore soon!

Have you heard of "Mark Reads..."? "Mark Reads Twilight", "Mark Reads Harry Potter", and now! "Mark Reads The Hunger Games."

http://markreads.net/reviews/2010/11/mark-reads-the-hunger-games-chapter-1/

Mark reads a chapter at a time, knowing nothing about the books and reviews the book(s) that way. I loved his HP reviews and I've kind of been half-following his HG reviews. His writing style is slightly similar to yours. You might like him.

I have indeed heard of Mark Reads! I enjoyed Mark Reads Harry Potter very much, though I haven't read his Twilight. On the other hand, I am a little afraid for him, given how relentlessly grim The Hunger Games is; if he thought Deathly Hollows was painful...

OKAY UNIVERSE I WILL READ THE HUNGER GAMES ALREADY. Geez, this series has been all over my friendslist lately! But, if it's as half as good as you say it is, I'll give it a shot :D

Ooooh btw have you seen the clips the BBC put out from the Who Christmas special? Not to get too spoilery but there was one in particular that filled me with lols.

I will admit that half the reason I gave in and bought it is because I wanted to read more mithrigil and puella_nerdii fic. *g* But it would still be very very good even if there was no fic at all!

I have not seen those clips, no! But usually I do not like to watch clips before the thing itself comes out--I immediately skip over "next time on" segments in TV and anime--so I shall abstain. Besides, it's only about a week until the full thing airs. eeeee it's only about a week until the full thing airs

I kept thinking of Princess Tutu whenever Rue was mentioned too! I actually really liked those books, even though I don't usually like first person stuff.

I can't decide if that made it easier--it gave me a clear picture of her, which I didn't for anyone else besides Finnick--or harder, because, um, yeah. *cough* I do like first-person, if only because for me it's actually a lot easier to write, but when I do it it tends towards comedy, so I'm impressed she managed to take rather a different path than I'd be able to.
