My internet education stretches even further, I suppose.

My mom has finished and put up her Supernatural-based yarns! They are here, and the fact that she apparently now has three different versions of Demon Cloud either says something about her level of commitment or her level of fannishness, I am not sure. (Apparently she and dad are undecided on the new season.) The Dean dye is totally awesome, not ( Read more... )

Ah, i can only have dreams of owning more Damselfly Yarn anytime in the near future since my financial situation tanked and we're barely scraping by.. i totally favorited that Halloween yarn, though, even in spite of it not being "my" colours... i still like that blend! s'gorgeous! ♥

And hah! One of my knit buds had a Cake Wrecks book and brought it to one of our meetups.. that was so fabulously fun to point and laugh at, oh my yes. Though, i do agree, Regretsy does make me feel a bit down sometimes, 'specially when it has something that i don't think is all that ridiculous! ;P

Not being able to buy is okay, and understandable! We will not cast you away from our sight just because you have better things to spend your money on than yarn from the internet. *g* And the Halloween one is rather lovely, isn't it?

The thing about Cake Wrecks is that you know people got paid to make those things, and the buyers did not have a choice in how they turned out. So it is much easier to make fun of them! Whereas the Etsy people are doing it on their own, and and not forcing people to buy them. So it can be a little harder.

There.. are better.. things.. than.. yarn? Ohright. yes. Food. Definitely Food. I think. >.> Anyway, thanks for the Not Casting Away! i more wish i could have some of that yarn ('cause yarrr, that Halloween yarn is loverly) than i am actually worried about such things but the sentiment is truly appreciated ('cuase it is something that crops up in the back of my head sometimes (oh you know me so well, don't you? ;D))

Yeah... Much easier when the reoccurring thought that comes out of one's head is, "They PAID for THAT??"

I'm curious! Why will you never return to Psych? (Too many seasons have elapsed since you last caught up?) Is there anything stopping you from catching up?

Also, even though I am not at all a yarn person, that Castiel yarn is utterly adorable; love Prospero's Sea too, and the other names for her yarns). I confess I don't get Sam's yarn colours, though (green and red don't strike me as being particularly Sam, but maybe it's just me).

Too many seasons, yeah. I think it's...two or three now? And I'm just not sufficiently crazy about it these days. I don't dislike it, but there are a lot of other things I like more. And I'm not catching up on them either

The reasoning behind Sam's yarn is that he often wears an olive-green coat and has that whole demon-blood thing going on, so, green and red! I'm actually not big on it either, but hey, if my mom likes it then that's okay.

Heh, yes, I read the reasoning for those colours on the site - I love reasons because I like seeing how someone else's mind works, but the colour combination wasn't quite my thing, I guess. Love her take on the Castiel colours (heaven or Castiel's eyes - that description was particularly lovely) - and I love the multicoloured yarns. Thanks for linking the site! I love all your mom's blue yarns. (Socks made of Dean!yarn sound like an awesome idea.)

I get the too many seasons syndrome (it does have an awful lot of them)!

Yarn! Yaaaaarn! Yaaaarrrrrrrn! So pretty. Sadly, it is a mite too expensive for a pre-birthday Livi, but maybe after November or Christmas I can order some. Also my nan just sent me the pattern & yarn for The Ugliest Jumper In The World (it is covered in bobbles), so I'm currently doing family duty knitting that.

Thank you for the Regretsy link- I needed something to distract me away from my latest World of Warcraft relapse and this will do very nicely indeed.

Hey, my mom's Kitchen Full Of Yarn And Dyeing Materials Seriously There Is No Room In There ain't going anywhere. *g* Did your nan send you the pattern and yarn knowing it was The Ugliest Jumper In The World? Because if that is so that is pretty awesome.

The thing about Regretsy is that it has done multiple posts a day every day for over a year now, and once you start reading, you want to go back and read every single one. So it is indeed good for taking up time!

Sadly, she was genuinely convinced that what I wanted most in life was a bobbly jumper knit in pink variegated pompom yarn. So, not especially awesome ):
