Five days until I go back to Savannah and I have officially run out of books. D: Okay, that is not true, there are two more on my reread list, but they are two I was never very interested in. And I tried going back to my old Pokemon games but I'm saving HG for the plane ride and I'm done with Pearl but I can't restart because it has all my Pokemon ( Read more... )

WAIT WAIT THE MOTORCYCLE-HELMET-HEADED PERSON IS A GIRL

CLEARLY I MUST CHECK OUT THIS SERIES RIGHT NOW. Yeah, it's sad that that's the tipping point since I keep hearing how awesome Durarara!! is, but. :D

And speaking of things I didn't know, I have only seen parts of the second season of White Collar, so I didn't actually know that Diana was lesbian! Clearly White Collar is even more awesome than I thought it was and watching it was a good decision.

ALSO ALSO ALSO. UMINEKO. I finally hit the second tea party after dithering around for who knows how long, and am moving on to the third arc, but HOLY CRAP. Those were a messed-up couple of episodes there. And by messed up, I mean kind of amazing in how scary Beatrice is. I cannot wait until I start figuring out more of what's going on eeeeee.

And Leela does not get nearly enough love from fandom; she tends to get forgotten in between Sarah Jane and Romana, and that makes me sad because she's so distinctive and fierce and I'm glad she's on this list.

YOU DID NOT KNOW CELTY WAS A GIRL? DUDE, SHE WEARS A SKINTIGHT JUMPSUIT, THERE'S A COUPLE VERY COMPELLING POINTS OF EVIDENCE. :P But yes she is a girl and she is awesome and I love her a lot! Also, her head is not a motorcycle helmet, her head is a head. A head which is not on her neck. Which is why she wears the motorcycle helmet, people tend to get freaked out otherwise. BUT YES WATCH DURARARA!! I LOVE IT LOTS ALSO. Maybe watch Baccano! first though, there is a cameo in DRRR!! that is a bit spoilery.

Diana's sexuality isn't mentioned very often--once in the pilot, then in the S1 finale, but besides that I think it doesn't really come up. We do know she's in a happy relationship, though. Perhaps someday we'll even have proof of this. Watch the rest of the show, watch iiiiit ( ... )

I only saw pictures of her from the back, or just of her head or something, so I didn't know much about her, hence why I thought her head was a motorcycle helmet. I have no complaints about watching Baccano! first, though; gives me more reason to finish it and not fall behind ( ... )

Celty is one of the best things about DRRR!!, not gonna lie. Okay there are a lot of things I like about DRRR!! but with Celty I am just hearts all over. I mean, she's a near-immortal headless death spirit who strikes terror into the hearts of the city and goes home to play video games with her roommate. I DON'T EVEN.

I can certainly say that nothing will impede your shipping Battler/Ronove, for that is a fine and lovely thing to do. :D (Or Beatrice/Battler/Ronove, which uh I may have thought of at great length when lying awake at night, just possibly.) And ha ha ha noooo, nothing good ever happens to Rosa, not ever. In the VN Eva-Beatrice actually does shrink her to the size of a butterfly and feed her to a spider. Not that we get to see it, because it's a VN, but it totally happens. So you should play the VN, yesssss, it will not destroy your computer! The only thing it seems to have done to mine is that the iTunes updater thinks I speak Japanese, but that is easily circumvented. *tempts* :D the VN goes into much greater detail ( ... )

what's funny here is that I recently purchased myself a DS Lite so I could finish my old Pokemon Sapphire lol, AND my party is also full of fail. I'm stuck on Victory Road with two water types (two water HM moves a piece), a level 35 rock type (VICTORY ROAD. IT'S NOTHING BUT ZUBAT AND ROCK TYPES), a psychic type with one move that does more than raise/lower someone's stats but with only 5 pp, and a fighting type. And I can't really change all of them because combines they have all the HM moves I need to get through Victory road.

I think it is very possible that the selection of Pokemon in general in S/R is just kind of crap all around, really. I find myself looking at my HG teams and realizing, dude, these are just better Pokemon. (Granted they are also mostly Eevee evolutions which you couldn't easily get in S/R anyway, but my point still stands.) Why did I want that Grass/Fighting type whose only Grass move is 5 PP? Why are the Fire starter's only Fire moves crappy Ember and 5 PP Fire Blast? WHY DID I GET A PELIPPER WHEN I KNEW I COULDN'T TEACH IT ALL THE WATER HMS. Maaaan, I want Black and White to hurry up and come out so I can play something besides endless repeats of HG and Pearl. D:
