First anime club of the quarter means new anime to watch, so I will briefly jabber about a couple of them! X'amd did not seem very interesting up until the point where a girl exploded, which is when I became considerably more intrigued, also the bit that happened next reminded me of Evangelion sort of which can only mean, um, something, I don't ( Read more... )

I will not venture into DRRR!fandom for a while, if at all, I think--we're only watching one or two episodes a week, so I must avoid spoilers. Once the quarter's over, though, I'm totally catching up all the way, and then we shall see.

So her name really is spelled Celty? The opening we had said Selty, but that may have been the subber. I thought it didn't look right. :P

I look forward very much to episode 11! If I cannot get a second season of Baccano!, at least I can get a fleeting bit of those two, eh?

NOT AS CRAZY AS IZAYA THOUGH. OHHHHH that one. Although I am not so sure crazy is the right word, SOCIOPATH may be more like it.

Do let us know what you think of DRRR!. A lot of people I know who used to be into Reborn have fallen headlong into the series. :)

I've actually seen those variations of the name, as well. I've seen Shelty as well. To be honest it's more because I prefer spelling it Celty or Shelty, rather than because it is technically correct. There are the DRRR!novels, though, so the 'canonically correct' romanisation of the name should come from there. I am a terrible human being and don't like 'Selty' because it's one vowel off from 'salty'.

Shizuo (Vending Machine Guy) and Celty/Selty/However You Spell Her Name are totally my favorites. (My favorite thing about Celty: that she communicates via IM and text message. My other favorite thing about Celty: she is afraid of aliens.)

(I have also heard completely unsubstantiated rumors that interest in Durarara!! might lead to a greater chance for s2 of Baccano! This is probably just wishful thinking but one can live in hope . . .)

(!!!!!! I approve of wishful thinking in this instance! I APPROVE OF IT VERY MUCH. Maybe we would actually get to see what was going on in the first episode with the spear lady? I CAN ONLY HOPE.)
