It is a curious phenomenon that every successive chapter of the BDPS receives fewer comments than the one before it; I'm not quite complaining, because I think the total number of unique user comments will ultimately end up being higher than any of my other stories--The Fine Art of Leaving Things Unsaid got a whopping total of 29, which never ( Read more... )

Nah, it's really all right, I figured it was something like that for most people. (For once, I do not at all believe that a lack of comments means a lack of readers; I'm too damn confident in this story to be nervous about it any more.) Get around to it when you get around to it.

And trust me, one big detailed comment is worth a lot of "i like it, do more" comments. ;) I'm not worried about it, I just find it curious.

Ayuppers, 'cause that's just the kind of stalker slasher i am.

Plus my comments seem to have gotten progressively longer for the most part, have you noticed that? ;D

I have indeed noticed that, and as we've established, I like it! ;)

Well, think of it this way: you are getting comments, and from people who have consistently read and reviewed your story thus far, so you know that we aren't just skimming through the "good parts" (whatever the hell that means) and saying, "Yeah. 'S good" (which is usually the sort of comment I get).

I'd also like to explain (just as you did previously) that I'm not some imbalanced stalker when I ask, "How old are you?" It's not important to me so you don't have to answer, but I was just curious. We should go get Indian food or something sometime. In the future. Because after your last chapter I've had it on my mind.

I find it amusing that my stories would even have 'good parts'. They're pretty consistent throughout--if people are looking for sex scenes, though, they're just going to be disappointed anyway. :P

I don't mind questions at all! My answer, however, is somewhat disappointing, as it can sometimes preclude such enjoyable activities as going to get Indian food: 17. My parents are generally Internet-people-friendly, but it still creates problems. *sighs* Ahh, youth.

Ah, so. Well, I'm only 19 (I'll be 20 on September 24, which means NBC is giving me the BEST BIRTHDAY PRESENT EVER by premiering the second season of Heroes on the same day!) but I'm still living with my family because I can't work right now (I'm a caregiver and my client is currently in the hospital. Which is sad, obviously, but that selfish part of me is like, "Damn! I don't get paid!") and thus, can no longer afford an apartment. Damn! At least I get to go back to classes soon... unfortunately, the first day of fall quarter is also on my birthday, so...

Ooooh, what sort of caregiver? I'm always interested in hearing what Actual Careers are like--particularly scientific or medical, since I think I would have fallen into there if I wasn't such a story geek. And I get sort of hypnotized by college...

That's one hell of a birthday present! Mine's in late January, so there's nothing special about it besides occasionally coinciding with Martin Luther King Jr. Day. (And also being shared with Buzz Aldrin.)

This happens ... I think long fics suffer from "bookmarking to read later" syndrome. I'm glad you're not miserable about it, though :)

Yeah, I suspected as such. (Perhaps I should wait a while longer than two days before posting a new part.)

I don't know - I think two or three days is about right, because it's a constant prompt to people. *shrug* Not sure, really! :(
