It does suffer from a truly bewildering use of theology, but that's kind of hilarious so whatever.

OKAY SO, this is my post about Umineko no Naku Koro ni! I started watching it in anime club because, well, it was one of the ones voted for and I did not have much of a choice in the matter. But I did think it was reasonably entertaining, if unusually fast-paced--it is not spoilery to say that people were dropping off like flies, because that is ( Read more... )

picspam of justice, umineko no naku koro ni, run lola run, i like anime apparently

So her leading him around on a leash is canon, then?

*oggles fanart*

...I may need this series to be a part of my life. You know. The, um, story sounds excellent and all.

(It actually does, but I'm not going to lie and say the leash-and-collar thing has nothing to do with it.)

Unfortunately the leash thing is only in that one clip and from what I can tell is not actually the version of him that she's playing with; there's outside-of-time!him, and there's inside-of-time!him, and given that outside-of-time!him remained alive after that, probably she just grabbed the other one. But there are still tons of mind games with the first one! And, as you can see, fanart galore. (Of course, I haven't watched the last two rounds, so for all I know she might strip him naked and chain him to a wall at some point.)

>.> This series can be found on WatchAnimeOn, as well as most other discerning anime sites. The visual novel is harder to acquire, and requires some fiddling with your computer so you can actually read it, but I'd say it's well-worth it if only for the extra backstory you get on the characters. (The art style is kinda weird, though. But the music is awesome!) Watch the first episode and let me know if you're interested.

oh man, kinks I did not know I had, I swear to god O.o BUT NOW OF COURSE THEY ARE THINGS I ( ... )

Ah, well. If it turns up that often in fanart, than odds are this is a character dynamic I'm going to enjoy anyway.

What are visual novels, exactly? Are they told with still frames and text? I've looked them up and everything but the descriptions of what, precisely, they are are somewhat vague.

I have this annoying bad habit of finding kinks I didn't know I had in many, many things I watch. I have found kinks I didn't know I had watching Transformers of all things; if there was a such thing as a Crowning Moment of Embarrassing that'd be mine.

Basically, yeah, still frames and text--there are character sprites laid over backgrounds, and the sprites' faces change slightly to indicate which of them is talking. A line of dialogue or narration goes across the screen, and then you click or press the right-arrow key to continue. Sometimes there are bits of animation, but not very elaborate ones. I've no idea how one would actually buy one--download, maybe, or it's on a CD? Computer-only, at any rate.

I may have read some Sam/Bumblebee back when I first saw the movie.

I'm not proud of it.

I'm glad you enjoyed the visual novel! I might be able to help you get your hands on the other ones in not-so-legal ways, if you'd like that. XD

Okay! Umm, so the download needed to be split in half, so it's here and here. Do you know how to combine rar files? If not, let me know and I can explain it - it's really simple.

Also, this contains episodes 1 through 4 all in one file, so you need to "unlock" the second ep to play it. There should just be a lock symbol next to it that you can click and then you'll be good to go. It might erase your save file for your ep 1 game, but that shouldn't be a problem since you already beat it?

Anyway, let me know if there are any issues and I will confer with my friend and stuff. \o/

Okay, so now it's a 1.8 GB file and 5 KB file, but uh I don't know how to open .mdf (the first one) or .mds (the second one). Help?

WHAT THE SHIT
I AM ACTUALLY INTRIGUED
That clip! So psychedelic! So violent!

I mean it is pretty and, and-- yeah. I identify with the reasons you listed. Ahem.

On the to--possibly-watch-at-a-later-date list it goes!

:DDDDD IT HAS SOME GREAT VISUALS, I AIN'T GONNA LIE. And violence. Seriously, hell-ass amounts of violence. But you could probably tell that from the guys being torn apart by goat people.

I am relieved to know that I am not alone. Of course, the fact that there's so much fanart of such things would indicate that anyway, but it's good to know I'm not alone here.)

Ehhhhhhxcellent! It can be seen at WatchAnimeOn and many other places, largely without guilt because it has not been licensed yet and there's really no other way to get it. Only 26 episodes! It doesn't drag on forever!

I do not actually like things with this level of violence mostly, and yet - and yet I am bizarrely intrigued? @_@ It's the mind games!

THE MIND GAMES ARE AWESOME, NOT GONNA LIE. I may have a tendency to flail at the (rare) occasions when he actually does get one over on her. They don't last, but oh Battler I love you and your ridiculous stubbornness.

--I cannot lie about the violence either, though; the murder methods range from "stabbed in the chest" to "face smashed in" to, as you saw, "ripped apart and devoured by goat people", but arguably you just get used to it. And for the most part you don't actually see the people being killed, you just see their bodies afterward. (On one occasion they're even blurred out; I guess Japanese TV censors did not approve of ripped-open torsos filled with Halloween candy.)
