On one hand one of my favorite things about Monster is the subtle reversal of gender roles; on the other hand I love genderswap like nothing else, which is why, bookelfe, you get a couple quick sketches before I dash off to spend the day with my mom. THERE WILL BE MORE because seriously what the hell else am I going to spend my time doing.

DIETER IS AMAZING IN ALL FORMS. HE IS A TINY MORAL FORCE OF JUSTICE (AND SOCCER). Also, best child sidekick ever, although he is not really a sidekick so much as, uh, well really he is hard to classify. MY POINT IS, HE IS AWESOME AND SO IS MONSTER IN GENERAL.

I KNOW. I have heard Monster recommended by everyone and I keep trying to read it but every bookstore I've been to has Volume 4 or 3 or something and never Volume 1 of the manga and I want to read in order, darnit. :

i had sandy blonde hair, an older brother (five years) i played tackle football with, and i once set the shed where the firewood was kept on fire! And just try to keep me out of trees. How i never broke anything, is a mystery to me. Did get at least one tetanus shot owing to stepping on a rusty nail, though.

But i totally had that shirt! . o O (okay, so i stole it from the aforementioned brother, but still)
