I finished the first season of Holic and then it made me cry. D: D: D: IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO DO THAT. WHY DID IT DO THAT. Stupid emotional attachment and character development. Actually it was not so much 'development' as 'elaboration upon what has been there for quite some time', but still. I didn't expect to grow this ridiculously fond of ( Read more... )

Oh, it is not traumatic crying! It is 'oh man that was really emotionally effective and added like 120% more sympathy to a character who is often portrayed in an annoying manner' crying. It does not make you want to strangle the writers, is what I am saying. So you would probably still want to watch it! Which I would heartily recommend but of course your life is very complicated.

Sometimes such things are a good distraction from Complicated Lives.. 'course the Complicated Life tends to make one more tippable over the emotional edge as it were, but perhaps that can be considered a good thing .. keeps stuff from being all suppressed and stuff!

Does it help if the majority of the series does not get as emotional? Because for the most part it alternates between silly and slightly creepy, with the occasional foray into being a bit touching. And gay. Really there is quite a lot of gay.

It is pretty much a complete mystery why Watanuki grew up as well-adjusted as he did.

Lol, this is CLAMP. Nobody is well-adjusted, just wait and see.

Hmmmmm? I've only got a few more episodes of Kei left, and he still seems moderately functional...unless it turns out he got sent to an insane asylum when he was a kid, I'd still say he came out of it way better than anyone could expect. But I do like a good bit of fucked-up, yes I do, so, hmmmmm.
