So, the way I'd put it is: Mitchell, for all the mocking, you really should read Interview with the Vampire and/or watch the film. Or watch the Kenny episodes on Highlander. Making a child immortal is one of the worst things ever, and said child will hate you as soon as it dawns on him he's locked in this body while mentally growing up, and that's leaving alone the blood drinking problem.

I think probably everything in this episode was supposed to be a sign that Mitchell's just totally losing it--he really isn't thinking practically any more. I'd like to imagine the Bernie thing will comeb ack to bite him in the ass, but given the lack of episodes remaining, I don't think it will. Perhaps if they get a next season? And then that season can be entirely about teaching Mitchell not to be stupid. Yes.
