Oo, this news makes me sad. I just downloaded er, um, found the first episode and thought the first few minutes looked reallllly cute. Was just waiting for appropriate free time to watch the rest of it. Hearing that the second episode has so many bad things makes me upset.
Well, uh, it advances the plot? And...and, yeah, okay, the two gay jokes are pretty much the only good things about it. (There is a moment between Mitchell and Annie that's very sweet, but given that it only happens because of something seriously nasty, it does not really count.) I don't know who wrote it, but I hope it wasn't Toby Whithouse--he can do better than this.
ehh, it's a shame, that's for sure. I admit I didn't even get to the end of the episode before giving up and watching reruns of Top Gear instead over on channel Dave (the boys went to Vietnam and at least THAT was brilliant). Shame to hear this episode didn't pick up. If nothing else, I had been enjoying shouting "MITCHELL!" and singing the Mitchell theme tune, a la MST3K.
Well, did you at least get to the bit with Mitchell and Annie sitting on the floor together? Because that bit was quite nice. The rest of it...eh, I can give you a plot update if you tell me when you stopped.
That's very kind, futuresoon and I'm touched by the offer but I am not sure I'll be continuing to tune in regularly. Shame really - I still think has promise as a concept but the execution seems wanting. Maybe I was just tired but for some reason when the werewolf hunter (who I'm guessing was evil because that actor only ever plays evil) showed George that chicken on a string, for some reason I thought 'I'm out of here'. I am conscious of dragging spoilers into comments so I am trying to be as guarded as possible.
Well, he wasn't a werewolf hunter, he was just a werewolf--but, uh, yeah, he turned out kinda skeevy. Alas! I really do have high hopes for this show, and I don't want to see them dashed upon the rocks...that's happened a little too often this past year for my tastes.
