the twilight one will probably come later, oh dear

“I like the meatballs there,” George muttered. Really, it was all a bit ridiculous. Creature of the night, terror of mortal man, nigh-unstoppable fiend-and Mitchell had a morbid distrust of a Swedish furniture store.

“They’ll probably give you salmonella,” Mitchell said. “Horrible, life-threatening salmonella.”

George thought about this. “ ( Read more... )

YAAAAAAY! George liking the IKEA meatballs! Non-green torte! Looking at lingonberry juice and forcing George to drink it because Mitchell doesn't like red drinks (awwww, and also - awesome little detail)! ALBERT! ALL THOSE PILLOWS AND THEIR COORDINATED PATTERNS!

I ♥ YOU.

I AM GLAD THAT THIS PLEASES YOU, AND WOULD LIKE TO MENTION THAT THE TWILIGHT ONE IS APPARENTLY BEING WORKED ON AS WE SPEAK. I haven't had this much sudden output since Heroes, man. (Well, technically Supernatural had quite a bit. It just...never really got finished.) Basically I am blaming you for all of it. The things one does to avoid watching The Office, huh?

I am very, very, happy to be blamed, trust me. Worry not, The Office will still be there when you are finished! AND YOU WILL WONDER WHY YOU WAITED SO LONG TO WATCH IT.

*g* Well, I'm glad you think so! Honestly, I'm surprised no one else has written something like this yet--it seemed obvious to me. But such is the way of small fandoms, I suppose.

Oh, this fic was a perfect remedy for my crap day.

I love the details you throw in (Mitchell's distaste for reddish drinks, all the names of IKEA products, the IKEA food!!!) and the just general coziness of the trio is just perfection.

Aww, glad to have made your day better! :D And believe me, I love doing the kind of in-depth research where you do a Google search and take random names off a product list. It is basically what I live for.

xD Awesome. This needed to be written.

And also, I think it says a lot about me that when I read fic I ALWAYS picture Guy Flanagan as Mitchell...

I had that problem too--it didn't really help that I rewatched the original pilot before writing this. *g* But then I rewatched the new episode, and that made it a little easier. We'll get used to Adrian Turner eventually!

Maybe that's why this story feels so Guy Flanagan-y?

I don't really WANT to get used to him. I LOVED Guy Flanagan.

I suppose this story is a little more in tune with the sillier aspects of the original pilot, yeah. But in a way it's sort of more amusing to picture muscled!Mitchell being distressed by bookshelves. And think of it this way: would you rather the Flanagan-Riseborough-etc pilot was the only Being Human there ever was, and it didn't get picked up, or that it did get picked up and experience a new rush of fannishness and fic at the cost of making some casting changes? (I admit that I'm a George person, and probably would be a lot less inclined to be Zen about this if Russell Tovey had been one of the ones to leave. But my point still stands.)
