I've mentioned this before! I have an entire tag for it! And I don't really work there, I just have a volunteer position one day a week. But it is great fun nonetheless.

(Ignore the deleted comment; it was incomplete. Weird log-in issue.) Yeah, I work at a sci-fi museum, and it is awesome, and my parents are on the board of advisers and basically it is just awesome. My actual volunteer work (one day a week; not really a job) is at the office for it, but I'm still surrounded by all these cool people and things. I kinda love my life sometimes.

Look, they were both at an awards ceremony my family was attending and when Rod was on stage talking about something he mentioned how close he and Wil became during TNG, and how they're still best buddies, and then after the ceremony I saw them hugging, so. NOT MY FAULT. And really, I was going there anyway.

Oh, it's not a specific story--but both my parents were/are huge TOS fans, which is part of what got my dad involved in the science fiction community in the first place, which is where he met my mom. So I can't pinpoint a direct moment, but it was definitely a factor.
