Abaranger living room, Sunday evening

Mirax wasn't sure if she was the first in her cabin, or if she just hadn't seen anyone yet, but it hadn't taken long at all to unpack in her alcove. After eying the skies and deciding she'd rather not be outside if it started raining, she began an exploration of the common areas of the cabin, checking out the setup and studying the things she hadn'

Mirax might well have been the first, but she wasn't the only one around, and after dumping a few bags into her alcove (and leaving them to unpack later) Angela poked her head into the living room part of the cabin.

She offered a grin when she saw someone else around, and an, "Oh, hey."

"Looks like I have my first cabinmate spotting," Mirax said with a smile. "Hi there. I'm Mirax."

"Looks like," she agreed cheerfully. "Hi, I'm Angela. B-side." And she gestured vaguely in that direction, for the sake of helpful illustration.

She was already doing better actually talking to one of her cabinmates, than she did the last half of the summer.

"A side. That's okay, I'm sure we can still be friends," she said. "Old or new?"

Okay, so calls had been made to Jean and Zack and hopefully one of them would know what to do.

For now, though, he had an armful of Kate's stuff and an armful of, well, Kate, and was knocking on the door of what was supposed to be her cabin. Only since he had no free hands he was actually just kicking it.

The kicking was kind of hard to ignore, which was why Mirax was calling, "I hear you!" as she headed for the door to open it.

"Sorry," Bobby called out apologetically. "No free hands!" because they were currently full of cat, you know.

She smiled when she got the door open, glad to see a familiar face. "Hey," she said, holding out her arms to help with something. "Are you in here too?"

It had taken more time to decide what things to take to the cabins than it had to pack and move. Elena didn't really have much to her name, so dividing it into sub-piles had been difficult. It seemed silly to drag all of it down to the cabins, but she'd stayed mostly with essentials. And that was when Elena realized she was overthinking the whole mess, tossed a few items into her duffel bag, and found her way to ... Abaranger.

Still had no idea how to pronounce that one.

She flashed a smile at the dark-haired girl in the living room. "Hi," she said. "Elena. Cabinmate, unless one of us is in the wrong place. Nice to meet you."

"Mirax," she introduced herself. "Welcome to our humble abode for the next few weeks. Because who really needs to get settled in their room?"

"Much better to spread all your stuff out, and forget where most of it is," Elena grinned. "Maybe the higher-ups are planning on stealing from the students, and hoping they think their valuables were lost in the move."

"That'd be pretty ingenious, actually. Especially if they were able to fence it back to us," she considered."So are you a speculative new kid here too or do you know something about the administration I don't?"

Tosh had taken some time getting all of her things into the cabin. She wasn't a big fan of camping so as soon as everything was in place, she went to see who else was around.

"Hi," Mirax greeted her, smiling. "Cabinmate, I assume?"

Tosh nodded and gave a shy wave. "Hi. I'm Tosh."

"Mirax," she said. "New kid, too?" She was going to guess from the shyness. No one who'd been here for a while seemed to have that quality.
