Becoming more

I...I don't know what happened. I saw things. I know I was asleep, but it was like I was awake. It was strange. There were many strange things happening. It was overwhelming. I...there were embarrassing things too. Things I know wouldn't actually happen. But they were happening! Then, I was woken. I was told I was trashing. I have never thrashed ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure what you were experiencing was a dream, Sada. ...Either that or a nightmare since that's what tends to cause people to thrash in their sleep, but none of what you described sounds very frightening, so I'm going to guess it was just normal dreams.
But I'm glad to hear that you seem to be experiencing them! Dreams can be wonderful things to have and they often bring us inspiration while we sleep, as well as bring our hopes and wishes to life while we travel the astral plane.

Ii data. I have never done this before. This is the very first time. Perhaps that is why I was acting as I was in my sleep. Because my body and my brain are unused to this new programming.

Perhaps so, but with time, you'll get used to the experience. You can do pretty much anything your heart desires in your dreams. And while it's true that they can often be confusing, even for those of us who have been dreaming all our lives, which is why there are so many books out there on how to interpret your dreams (maybe you should consider picking one up for yourself since you're trying to understand your dreams and looking for answers), they can also be a lot of fun as well~ I know I personally always enjoy any flying dreams I have and I always wake up feeling very happy from them. ...Though if they turn into falling dreams, that can be kind of startling. I always wake up with a start whenever that happens. Hopefully your first falling dream won't be too troubling for you though ( ... )

In dreams, we enter a world that's entirely our own. It does not do to dwell on them and forget to live, Inui-kun.

I do not understand at all, Oshitari Yuushi. You have been able to dream your whole life. For me, this was the first. You tell me not to dwell, but I merely want to understand this. It's strange and it's beyond my current data. If we really go into a new world, yours is well traveled. Mine is uncharted. I do not like not knowing. It scares me.

You misunderstand, Inui-kun. I'm not telling you that you can't understand, but merely to not become obsessed on your dreams and what they mean lest you forget to live.

For example, if I kept dwelling on why I dreamed about sticks of dango putting themselves together to form a dango version of the Stay Puff marshmallow man and destroy Tokyo, I wouldn't get anything done.

Granted, not all dreams are as ridiculous as these. Some are serious, some are prophetic (as some of the Apollo children can tell you), and others become nightmares. There are probably more than a few books about dreams and the meanings of them in the library. Beware, no two meanings about the same thing are alike.

Oh, good heavens. I'm not the only one who's actually had a Stay Puff marshmallow man dream. I'm not sure if that's something to be glad about or not yet. Mine wasn't made of dango, but I did try to eat him when my common sense reminded me that he's made of marshmallow and I encouraged others in my dream to do the same to defeat him. It was a very strange dream.

Actually, listening to music while you sleep can bring about some interesting results. Might want to try it at some point down the line to see what you get from it, Sada. ...That is, if you're the type that can sleep with any kind of noise present to begin with. I know not everyone is able to.

How fascinating. What kinds of things did you dream about?

Oh, and if you're curious about the nature of your subconscious, you can keep a dream diary and analyse what themes pervade your mind. It's quite interesting to do when you can remember your dreams.

I will do that. I will make myself a special notebook to record the data.
