Room 303, Thursday late morning

Yesterday had turned out surprisingly enjoyable, considering there had been an invasion. Leto had returned to the room late, and it had taken quite a while to get cleaned up considering he had been covered in blood and dirt. Arthur's mind was full of babble and he was entirely intent on getting out of here to do something more useful as soon as he could. Leto writing wasn't anything new, but the itching scratches on his right arm were, and he made an effort out of not picking at them while he ate his lunch.

"Yesterday," he said, with his usual gift of understatement, "was special."

Leto turned his head to smile at him, lifting the pen from the paper. "It was a good day, yes." The smile continued as he dipped the pen in the ink and continued writing.

"Mm, yes," Arthur said, dryly, "Nothing spells 'good day' like being attacked by a swarm of half-women hurling obscenities." All right, watching Leto - and several others - in action hadn't been that bad, but he'd been a little busy planning at the time.

"Their numbers were quite severely decimated," Leto said. "I think we did well." The pen stopped for a moment, and he smiled to himself. "I suppose returning home covered in blood makes one feel accomplished in some way."
