Ugh, this sentimental ending seems awfully tacked on. Maybe I had to see the first 5 minutes to really get it at maximum strength?

It's not a stunner of an emotional reveal compared to some others, but it's sweet in reference to the beginning.

I kind of agree. I think this was one of the strongest episodes of the season so far, but it definitely lacked the emotional punch of "Luck of the Fryish" or "Jurassic Bark." But it did make me say, "aww, dat's sho shweet," so that's something at least. It's got rewatch value, hooray!
