Haruhi Fujioka is a poor student at prestigious Ouran High School who unwittingly becomes the center of a harem of rich boys, the Ouran High School Host Club.

Haruhi Suzumiya is a bored student who discovers that real world Japanese high school is often quite boring, and creates the Haruhi Suzumiya Brigade to Save the World by Overloading it with Fun. (She may also be a god.)

Simoun is a science-fiction war drama focusing on a group of young female Simoun pilots (called priestesses). Also, the girls kiss a lot.

Bless you for the info. Sue has infected me with both the boatbuilding and anime viruses (virii?), and I'm still slogging through Tenshi na Konamaiki (50 episodes!), before I move on to those others.
