Word from Stargate Con in Vancouver:

= Congrats to Shanks and his wife on the newest addition to their litter - a little baby boy named Samuel David, who was born about a week ago! There's a little write-up on his Q&A, with no season 10 spoilers, just cute things - here.

= Holy crap there's rumors about next year. I had to read them. ( Well, especially when one is... )

Dude! Because I'm a cynical cow, I'm wondering if the RDA episodes will be the ones where Shanks is AWOL (four episodes).

I can't remember...do you ship at all? Specifically, Jack/Sam?

Ya know, I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought of that scenario too. Which would pain me greatly. Half the reason I want him back is so he can interact with Daniel.

I'm such an odd one when it comes to the shipping on this show. I absolutely love and ADORE Jack and Daniel together, but I can't fully get behind reading fic about them. Their friendship is precious to me, so I kindof don't want to step on it by turning it into something else in fic, ya know?

On the other hand, I'm not violently against Jack and Sam, yet I don't think it's really appropriate for the show. So technically, I don't read any fic at all, but I cherish Jack and Daniel moments SOMUCH and sometimes I actually think the Jack and Sam stuff is handled well and it's cute.

So I don't think I really answered your question all that well. LOL

I could not agree more. I was a little dismayed (okay, a LOT dismayed) when the show took a shippy turn because not only was it inappropriate, it felt out of place. From what I've seen on message boards, RDA wasn't wholly behind the big 'ship push, and it shows. You'd think the writers would have given up long before they did, but you know men. 'No' means 'yes'. ;-)

Eeeeeee, me too! I'm hope, hope, hoping that there will be quality Jack/Daniel onscreen time (hah), and that the shippiness will be kept to a tolerable minimum (double hah).

As much as I love Jack and Daniel together, I love me some Daniel/Cameron too. I can't wait to see Jack and Cameron duking it out for Daniel's attention. I can dream, can't I?
