I almost feel like I should apologize for how much I'm posting about SG1 lately. But really, it can't be helped. Not when I pop in the last DVD of season 8 to watch the director commentaries, and Peter DeLuise has me about crap my pants over his comments regarding Jack and Daniel's forbidden love. Did you see last Friday's episode, "Ripple Effect"? Apparently, Joe Mallozzi, one of the writers, played with some of the alt!'ships available and hinted at a relationship between alt!Daniel/alt!Cameron. Whee! It's in his blog, and I'd post the specific link but navigating that thing makes me cry.

The scene was filmed - unfortunately, because of time constraints (so they claim), 'twas left on the cutting room floor. ;-p He's using the colors of their BDUs to distinguish who's who. Our SG-1 wore green.

I was reading those the other day and I wanted to weep because I would've loved to have seen those scenes (plus the others that were cut).

And ya know, I never would've put the Daniel/Mitchell spin on those scenes at all! Maybe because I'm so firmly set in my happy little Daniel/Jack place. lol But when you read them that way, I can definitely see it. Interesting!

Hee, I think Peter DeLuise is my favorite director for Stargate, he's done some of my favorite eps. Plus I love that practically his whole family has been on SG-1.

Peter's a hoot on the commentaries and I love all the Director's Series for him. And hey, what good is it to be a writer and director AND producer if you can't practice a little nepotism? LOL And each one of them did a great job in their roles, too.

Hee, and now I'm trying to think of what they did. I always liked the character Pete, and then Michael was on 'Wormhole Xtreme' right? I've only seen the bits of that they had in "Citizen Joe" but I believe that was him. Their dad was on there, but I'm drawing a blank as to what he did. heh.

and then I forgot to ask this last time, but I've always been confused as to what refering to Daniel as 'spacemonkey' meant. I'm taking it's something Jack said?

Oh I definitely have! I think there were two different clips, even! lol I love it when the subjects of the slash (in a way) are so amused by it and not offended or grossed out. I think it's awesome that everyone sees the unspoken love between Jack and Daniel, not just us!
