Ack, I completely missed soul4poetry’s birthday yesterday! Tara! I’m so sorry! I hope you had a wonderful day. *hugs*

Woo, busy weekend! But also quite fun. escapist_xbq came over and we did what we love to do best - chilled out and watched TV. I mean, really, who needs to actually go out and socialize when you can get comfy on a couch and just watch sci-fi/ ( Read more... )

It’s only Monday and already work has decided to become a festering boil of irritation and insanity.

Are you sure we really live on opposite sides of the country?

“Fragile Balance”
I've seen it mentioned many times that the kid who played young Jack was really good. I'm going to have to see if I can find this ep on Kazaa, I've managed to find and actually get a few eps off it before. Of course I've been trying to get 'Threads' for months. Um, yeah. :P

“Heroes 1, 2”
Another set of eps I've never seen, but didn't they have Adam Baldwin in them? Or am I confusing eps again. And having only seen a few eps with Janet, I've always wondered how her death would effect me. Seeing her in the recent ep didn't really effect me like seeing Martouf did, since I've actually seen his eps (except the one where he dies).

And I had no idea Michael Shanks wrote an ep or that Amanda directed one. I find that really interesting.

I can't wait to read your comments on 'Ripple Effect.' :)

I know I have Threads on my computer, but it's 700mb. Mostly because it's the full hour and a half version. I personally haven't even seen it yet since I'm in the middle of season 8 and haven't gotten to it yet on my dvd's, but I have it downloaded and would be happy to upload it for you. If that's too big of a file for you, let me pop it on a dvd disc and mail it to ya! I can add Heroes 1,2 to it and if I have Fragile Balance, I can put that on there too. Let me know if you'd like me to do that ( ... )

There was an hour and a half version of Threads? Did not know that. 700 MB would take me a whole month to get, and that's if I kept my computer on the whole time. heh. So yeah, I would really love and appreciate any eps you want to/can send me. :)

So RDA never wrote or directed any ep, just the other three? That's cool. I always thought it was interesting that Joe Flanigan wrote an ep, how he said all the ideas he had at first, SG-1 had already done.

Also, since you've been watching the eps from the beginning, I've seen several people say that the first 4-5 season are probably the best. I was wondering, do you think that's because they were on Showtime? As in, when the show moved to SCI FI, the quality changed?

Fabulous! I'll send you all those episodes, and if you can think of any others you'd like (I have almost every episode, all but a few from seasons 7 & 8), let me know! Also, do you have a DVD drive on your computer that can read it if I burn them to a DVD disc (they're mostly AVI files)? It just holds a lot more, so it would be easier to send you more episodes that way. If not, it's okay, I'll send them on regular CD.

So RDA never wrote or directed any ep, just the other three?

Maybe being an exec producer was time consuming? lol

I remember reading that about Joe Flanigan, and I can see a lot of similar plots used from SG1 anyway, so he might as well just write whatever he wants!

I was wondering, do you think that's because they were on Showtime? As in, when the show moved to SCI FI, the quality changed?I would definitely say that the first 5 seasons were the best for the series, absolutely. I call them the Golden Years. lol But I don't know how much of that is because of Showtime/Sci-Fi. I'm not really sure just how much ( ... )

I don't know if you like reading crossovers but since you've finished season 7 I'm gonna recommend you read Bridges by Tassos. A Xander's real family challenge. One of the best I've read, cause my god that's a big genre. Who knew there could be so many stories on who Xander's real father is?

Oh, I just read the synopsis and it seems really interesting. I can actually *really* see those two being related. LOL Thanks for the link, I'll definitely check it out!

I hate clips show too. A necessity I guess from RDA's reduced commitment. But for some reason I love S8 Citizen Joe. If only for the Jack moment when they knew that he actually did get images of Joe's life and didn't say anything cause it's relaxing for him.

Well they were doing clip shows all the way back in Season 1, so I don't think RDAs schedule really was the reason for this one. I don't actually hate them, but I think they did a much better job with Disclosure with Major Davis and Hammond defending the gate, and Thor kicking Kinsey's ass in the end, than they did with Inauguration. It's a seemingly waste of an episode, but I understand why they do them (budget). I haven't seen Citizen Joe yet, but I've heard about it, and I'm eager to see it!
