Tonks = EVIL. I don't like her. :( she is annoying.
And yes Harry has now become ... CAPSLOCK!Harry. he comes out every now and then. you get used to it. also, if you really think about it? PTSD would make sense. he did watch a fellow student DIE and all that crap.
I love the tone of OOTP myself. it's one of my favorites in the series, actually. right after Prisoner of Azkaban.
Ah, good ole' Harry Potter and the Onset of Puberty. Thankfully he grows out of whiny bitch-boy phase, and I think Tonks is awesome. Better than Alice, because she's not obsessed with dress-up :P
Ah, yeah .... bit in a way, it's slightly endearing. ^^; I mean, she's a vampire who loves to shop. It's kinda cute. 8D I don't know, I'm just biased toward Alice I guess. XD
LOL, CAPSLOCKHarry. I hadn't got that when Layne said it, but I finally got the part where Harry becomes CAPSLOCKHarry. XDDD
I know the series matures with the readers- that doesn't bother me. It just seems like her overall writing style shifted slightly. I don't feel like I'm reading Harry Potter, I feel like I'm reading a really good fanfic. :/
That was part of the reason OOTP isn't one of my favs. I think her writing was a tad different because she was trying new things. But it may also be because there's a bunch of stuff that happens before they even get back to Hogwarts, so you may start feeling more at home when that happens.
I do like the plot in OOTP though, I just don't LOVE it. It has it's moments of awesomeness.
CAPSLOCKHarry attack!! RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARR! I think someone needs to make an icon for that, lol.
Yeah, I think you're right about that. I felt slightly the same way when reading Goblet of Fire until they got back to Hogwarts. I know there's more to the Harry Potter universe than just Hogwarts, but the first two books kinda set the reader up so that Hogwarts feels like where it's at. :/

Yeah, PTSD does make sense, which is why I threw it up there. As of yet, he's just being whiny.
