Now, in principle I'm not aversed to movies that contain explosions, action and attractive people in saucy underwear/shirtless (delete according to gender and sexuality of viewer), but something about them in Sherlock Holmes is unbelievably shit.

Wow, that looks amazing. It's like Holmes by the team that brought us LXG. I have a suspicion that it will be a very fun (albeit not really Holmes) movie.

The way I look at it, most interpretations of Holmes take aspects of his character (intelligence, wisdom, the scientist) and translate that into a wise, old man. This interpretation merely takes different aspects (action, the chase, the detective) and makes a different translation, into a younger man of adventure.

Both are equally accurate and inaccurate. Either way, I still think the movie looks pretty good.
